Roxiver 50mg Tablet DT

Prescription Required

Your child’s medicine at a glance

Roxiver 50mg Tablet DT is an antibiotic medicine. It is commonly given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections such as infections of the ear, nose, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract.

Give Roxiver 50mg Tablet DT to your child by mouth either 15 minutes before or 3 hours after food as taking it with food may reduce its absorption. However, in case your child develops a stomach upset, you can give it with a small amount of food. Roxiver 50mg Tablet DT is usually given twice a day, in the morning and evening, or as prescribed. Stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as that depends upon the type of infection, its severity, and your child’s age and body weight.

The usual duration of the treatment is 5 to 10 days, depending upon how severe the infection is and how well your child responds to the treatment. Make sure that your child completes the full prescribed course of the medicine as stopping it abruptly may worsen your child’s condition or increase the risk of reinfection. In case your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, help your child calm down and then give the same dose again.

Some of the minor and temporary side effects of this medicine include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Usually, these subside once your child’s body adapts to the medicine. However, in case these effects persist or become bothersome for your child, consult your child’s doctor without any delay.

Inform your child’s doctor if your child has a history of allergies, heart problems, liver impairment, or kidney malfunction. Knowing the child’s medical history is critical for dose alterations and for planning your child’s overall treatment.
