Product introduction
Sitacip GM 50mg/1mg/1000mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines used to lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is generally prescribed when diet, exercise, and other treatments do not result in adequate glycemic control.
Sitacip GM 50mg/1mg/1000mg Tablet is best taken with food; however, take this medicine regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits. The dose and duration are decided according to your condition and how well you respond to it. The doctor may also monitor your blood sugar levels regularly when you are taking this combination medicine.
Keep taking this medicine even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If stopped abruptly, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of complications. This medication is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction because lifestyle habits play a big part in controlling diabetes.
The most common side effects of Sitacip GM 50mg/1mg/1000mg Tablet include nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances, and hypoglycemia. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away or get worse. They may be able to help by adjusting the dosage or by prescribing an alternate medicine.
You should not take Sitacip GM 50mg/1mg/1000mg Tablet if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus or acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients with active bladder cancer or a history of bladder cancer should also not take this medicine. Inform your doctor about all the other medicines that you take as some of them can affect or be affected by this medication. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctors before taking it.

How Sitacip GM Tablet works
Sitacip GM 50mg/1mg/1000mg Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medications. Sitagliptin helps to control blood sugar levels by increasing substances (incretins) in the body that make the pancreas release more insulin. It also signals the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when there is too much sugar in the blood. Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. Metformin decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the glucose made by the liver. It also increases the body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood (blood sugar levels).

Diabetes Ireland is delighted to hear of the Harvard success and congratulate Professor Melton and colleagues on figuring out the complex series of steps necessary to turn stem cells into beta cells. Hopefully, they can negotiate the regulations for mass production so that an abundant supply of beta cells is available an new and innovative methods will be developed to cure/treat Type 1 diabetes. Type I diabetes is an autoimmune condition whereby the body kills off its own beta (insulin producing) cells resulting in the need for daily insulin administration through the skin. Replacing beta cells in the first step towards a cure, but the replaced beta cells need to be protected from the body?s autoimmune response. This means protecting them in a coating or taking drugs to prevent the response (possible worse side effects than diabetes).
