Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet is a combination medicine used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and making the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. It also removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body.
Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It makes you lose excess water through urine, hence try to take it at day time or 4 hours before bedtime to avoid frequent urination at night. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.
Nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, headache, and dizziness are some common side effects of this medicine. Regular monitoring of kidney function and electrolytes is important while using this medicine. This medicine should be used along with lifestyle changes like a healthy diet, regular exercise and smoking cessation for best results. You are advised to drink plenty of fluids to overcome mouth dryness and extreme thirst.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you are pregnant if you have ever had any problems with your blood circulation or have liver or kidney problems. How Starpess 3D Tablet works
Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow. Metoprolol Succinate is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate, while Telmisartan is a calcium channel blocker which works by blocking the hormone angiotensin to further relax blood vessels.

Breast feedingCONSULT YOUR DOCTOR
Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.
Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet is not recommended in these patients.
Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
What if you forget to take Starpess 3D Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Starpess 3D 12.5mg/50mg/40mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
