Silver Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial multiplication. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic and disinfectant which effectively cleans out cuts, wounds and burns to prevent infection.
