Tendia MP 500mg/50mg/15mg Tablet

Product introduction

Tendia MP 500mg/50mg/15mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines used to lower blood glucose levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is generally prescribed when diet, exercise, and other treatment do not result in adequate glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Tendia MP 500mg/50mg/15mg Tablet is best taken with food. Take it regularly and at the same time each day to get maximum benefits from it. Your doctor will decide what dose is best for you and this may change from time to time according to how it is working. Your doctor may also check your blood sugar levels regularly.

Keep taking this medicine, even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of complications. Remember that it is only part of a treatment program that should also include a healthy diet, regular exercise, and weight reduction as advised by your doctor. Your lifestyle plays a big part in controlling diabetes.

The most common side effects of this medicine include hypoglycemia, constipation, edema, headache, upper respiratory tract infection, muscle pain, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, vomiting, metallic taste. Let your doctor know if any of these side effects do not go away or get worse. They may be able to help by adjusting the dosage or by prescribing you an alternate medicine.

You should not take it if you have type 1 diabetes mellitus, or have acute or chronic metabolic acidosis, including diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients with active bladder cancer or with a history of bladder cancer should also not take this medicine. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about all the other medicines you are taking for any other medical conditions. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it.

How Tendia MP Tablet works

Tendia MP 500mg/50mg/15mg Tablet is a combination of three antidiabetic medications. Metformin decreases the amount of glucose absorbed from your food and the amount of glucose made by the liver. It also increases the body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood. Pioglitazone primarily acts on muscle, fat, and liver cells to enhance their response to insulin, making it easier for these cells to take up glucose from the bloodstream. It also reduces the production of glucose by the liver, which is a common problem in people with type 2 diabetes. Teneligliptin increases the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreases the hormone (glucagon) that raises blood sugar levels. This reduces the fasting and post meal sugar levels.
