Product introduction
Twinrab 750IU/750IU Injection is a combination of two medicines given to prevent rabies in people who might have been exposed to the virus. It is always given in combination with a rabies vaccine. This combination neutralizes the rabies virus, stopping it from entering the nerve cells and spreading to the nervous system.
Twinrab 750IU/750IU Injection enhances the prevention of rabies infection after exposure, particularly in situations where traditional vaccination might not provide immediate protection. It is usually administered by a doctor or nurse. This should be given as soon as possible after exposure to the virus.
This medicine is generally safe with little or no side effects; however, it may cause reactions, such as redness, swelling, and pain, at the injection site. These symptoms do not normally last very long and get better with time. However, consult your doctor if you experience any other symptoms that you feel are caused by this medicine.
Before receiving the injection, tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to an immunoglobulin. Also, inform them of all the other medicines that you take as some of them can affect or get affected by Twinrab 750IU/750IU Injection. Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to consult their doctors before receiving this medicine.

How Twinrab Injection works
Rabies is a viral infection caused by the rabies virus which primarily affects the nervous system. Once the virus enters the body through a bite from an infected animal, it travels along nerve fibers to the central nervous system, including the brain. There, it can cause severe neurological symptoms and, ultimately, death if left untreated. Twinrab 750IU/750IU Injection contains two antibodies: docaravimab and miromavimab. These antibodies bind to the rabies virus and prevent it from entering and infecting nerve cells and other cells in the body. This interruption of the virus's ability to replicate and spread within the body is crucial for halting the progression of rabies infection.
