Xultophy Injection should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor or nurse will teach you the correct way of injecting it under the skin. You should use this medicine regularly as per the dose advised to get the most benefit. If you stop taking it your blood sugar levels may rise very high and put you at risk of serious complications. Xultophy Injection is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Liraglutide and Insulin Degludec. Liraglutide helps your body make more insulin during meals and lowers the amount of sugar produced in your body. Insulin Degludec works like your body's natural insulin. It facilitates reuptake of glucose in muscle and fat cells and also blocks release of glucose from the liver. Together, the two medicines provide consistent, all-day sugar control.
