Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat common cold symptoms. It provides relief from seasonal allergic conditions such as runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing and congestion or stuffiness. This medicine also relieves fever and pain.
Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet is taken with food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, dryness in mouth, fatigue, and headache. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It can also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.
Before taking it, you should tell your doctor if you have any liver diseases so that your doctor can prescribe a suitable dose for you. Also tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Note: As per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet is banned for children under 12 years of age.

How Zucet-N Tablet works
Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Nimesulide and Levocetirizine which relieve common cold symptoms. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Levocetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Liver

Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
What if you forget to take Zucet-N Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Zucet-N 100mg/5mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Monitor temp. If child has fever place a cool, damp washcloth on your child's forehead , Give your child a lukewarm tub bath or a sponge bath. Give a sponge bath as follows:- ? Use lukewarm water [90?F (32.2?C) to 95?F (35?C)] . Do not use cold water, ice, or rubbing alcohol, which will lower the child's body temperature too quickly. ? Sponge for 20 to 30 minutes. ? Stop if the child starts to shiver. If your child doesn't like the sponge bath or doesn't feel better after the bath, there is no need to give another one. You can use Paracetamol also along with above measures to control fever till you consult Dr. He will determine the patient's immunization status and underlying disorders in these cases which range from mild conditions to the most serious of bacterial and viral illnesses
