Product introduction
Zustpen 300mg Injection is an antibiotic that is used to treat complicated urinary tract infections. It works by killing the bacteria thereby stopping their growth. The dose of this medication will depend on the age and symptoms of individual patients.
Zustpen 300mg Injection is given as an injection by a doctor or a nurse; do not self-administer. It should be used for the minimum period necessary to prevent the development of resistant bacteria.
The most common side effects of this medicine include rash; pruritus; eosinophilia; gastrointestinal distress (diarrhea, nausea); and increased alanine transaminase, aspartate transaminase, and alkaline phosphatase. These side effects are usually temporary and go away as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, consult your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Zustpen 300mg Injection should be used with caution in patients who have a known history of allergy to other antibiotics (such as carbapenems, penicillins, and cephalosporins) and in those with a history of epilepsy and other central nervous system disorders. Let your doctor know if you are receiving sodium valproate as part of your medication, as Zustpen 300mg Injection may decrease blood levels of valproic acid and cause epileptic seizures. While on treatment with this medicine, your doctor may also advise blood tests to monitor your kidney function. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should also consult their doctors before using this medicine.
