How Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Guaifenesin + Phenylephrine works

Cetirizine + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Guaifenesin + Phenylephrine is a combination of four different medications. Cetirizine blocks the effects of histamine, a chemical produced by the body in response to allergens, and helps to reduce allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that acts on the cough center in the brain. It helps to reduce the urge to cough by inhibiting the brain signals that trigger the cough reflex. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that helps to loosen and thin mucus in the airways, making it easier to expel phlegm and clear the respiratory passages. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that works by constricting blood vessels in the nasal passages which reduces swelling and congestion.
