Chymotrypsin Uses

Chymotrypsin is used in the treatment of pain relief and swelling.

How Chymotrypsin works

Chymotrypsin is a proteolytic enzyme. It works by breaking down peptide bonds in proteins at sites of inflammation or tissue injury. It works by breaking down proteins into smaller fragments, thereby making them available for absorption into the blood. Once absorbed, it increases the blood supply in the affected area. This helps reduce inflammation, swelling, and pain.
