How Dexamethasone + Framycetin + Clotrimazole works
Dexamethasone + Framycetin + Clotrimazole is a combination of three medicines: Dexamethasone, Framycetin and Clotrimazole. Dexamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane. Framycetin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth on the skin, by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Together, they treat your skin infection effectively.

- Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
- Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
- Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment.
