Tolnaftate is used in the treatment of fungal skin infections, fungal infections, skin infections, nail infections, fungal infections of mouth (Thrush) and dandruff.

How Tolnaftate works

Tolnaftate, an anti-fungal medicine. It prevents growth of fungal cell-wall. It also prevents forming fungal colony. This is how it causes death of fungi and relieves your infection.

- Keep your feet clean and dry, particularly between the toes.
- Cut your nails short and prefer open-toe shoes for everyday use.
- Use a separate clean towel for the feet and wear clean cotton socks.
- Never share your socks, shoes, and towel with others.
Apply it once or twice a day as prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply more often or use longer than directed.
Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well.
Consult your doctor if your skin condition has not improved after 10 days of treatment. Do not use it for more than 2 consecutive weeks at a time.
