જો તમે તાણ (વાઇ), લોહીમાં ઊંચું દબાણ, યકૃતની તીવ્ર નિષ્ફળતા કે કોઈ કારણસર એનીમિયાથી પીડાતાં હોવ કે પીડાયા હોય તો ડોકટરની સલાહ લેવી.
લોહી રંગદ્રવ્ય વિકારવાળા દર્દીઓમાં સાવચેતી રાખીને ઈપોએટિન આલ્ફા લેવી જોઇએ, કેમ કે તે ત્વચા અને બીજા અંગો પર અસર કરે (પોરફીરિયા).
