Understanding 3D-CT Scan (Any Part)
What is 3D-CT Scan (Any Part)?
3D CT scan is an imaging technique used to get clear pictures of various parts of the body. In this technique, a doughnut-shaped CT machine rotates the X-rays 360 degrees around you to get a detailed 3-dimensional view of your body. Detailed images of organs, tissues, bones, etc., can be obtained, which are then analyzed by doctors to identify any abnormalities. The advantage of CT scan is that it is non-invasive, i.e., it doesn't require any incisions.
Please tell your doctor if you may be pregnant as the CT scan may subject the baby to radiation. Some people may have allergic reactions to the contrast material. Please tell your doctor about any allergies that you may have to drugs, food, or iodine.
