Understanding Mammography Single Breast
What is Mammography Single Breast?
Mammography is a specific type of imaging that uses a low-dose x-ray system to see inside the breasts. It is used to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases in women. It can also be used to detect and diagnose breast disease in women experiencing symptoms such as a lump, pain or nipple discharge. It is broadly of two types:
1.Screening Mammography - It plays a central role in the early detection of breast cancer since it can show changes in the breast much before a patient can feel them.
2.Diagnostic Mammography - It is used to evaluate a patient with abnormal clinical findings like a breast lump or nipple discharge.
