What is MR Venography With Contrast?
MR Venography (MRV) With Contrast uses magnetic waves & contrast dye to generate detailed images of the veins.MRV is used to visualize intracerebral veins and sinuses. The technique is particularly good to diagnose sinus thrombosis in the patients having sever headache.
What is MR Venography With Contrast used for?
- To diagnose abnormalities in the veins of new born baby
- To detect any clot in the veins and brain veins
- To find out the damage caused due to stroke, traumatic brain injury or brain haemorrhage
- To evaluate the intracranial hypertension (increase in the pressure of the skull)
