Understanding MRI Venography Right Upper Limb With Contrast
What is MRI Venography Right Upper Limb With Contrast?
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) venography of the right upper limb is used to visualize the deep and superficial veins of the upper limb. In this test, a contrast material is injected into the vein which helps to see the blood flow in the veins, detect any blockage and other vein-related conditions.
This test is done to monitor the condition of the veins. To detect any suspected inflammation of the vein, and to locate a suitable vein for dialysis or bypass procedures.
