What is NCCT Scan Arm?
Non-contrast Computed Tomography (NCCT) for arm helps to visualize the forearm (including the wrist, radius, ulna, and elbow) and upper arm (between shoulder and elbow). It is done to find the causes of pain, tenderness, swelling and deformity of the arm. It helps to detect bone alignment, fracture, tumor, degeneration or other bone related problems in the arm.
What is NCCT Scan Arm used for?
- • To detect the fractures of the bones of the arm not visible on a simple X-ray • To detect the cause of any unexplained pain in the arm • To detect any infection, injury or inflammation of the soft tissues like the muscle, the tendons and ligaments of the arm • To diagnose any suspected infection, osteoporosis, deformities or abnormal growth of the bones and arthritis (inflammation of the joints)
