Neurosense
Understanding Neurosense
What is Neurosense?
Neurosense is a screening test based on your genetic makeup that helps predict your genetic risk of developing brain diseases such as Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD). PD test is based on polygenic risk score (PRS) screening. This test helps identify if you are at high, moderate, or average genetic risk of developing PD and AD. You can take this test if you have a family history of PD and PD-like disorders or AD and if you are above 18 years of age with or without a history of brain disease. Advancing age is one of the genetic risk factors that seem to influence the onset of brain disease. However, brain disease is known to occur in individuals across all age groups. This test facilitates the identification of at-risk individuals before they develop this disease and eventually aids in its early diagnosis, a key to this disease management.
