PET CT Scan Brain is an imaging technique to visualize brain and its functioning. A radioactive substance called a tracer/contrast agent is used to look for disease or injury in the brain.It is recommended to detect cancer, evaluate brain after trauma and monitoring of brain treatment process. It helps to diagnose medical conditions including dementia, alzheimer's disease, parkinson's disease, huntington's disease, cerebrovascular accident and stroke.

Overnight fasting required for 8 to 12 hours

Preparations

Overnight fasting (8-12 hrs) is required. Do not eat or drink anything except water before the test.

Urea & Creatinine report is required within the last 15 days.

Diabetic patients should have light breakfast 4 to 6 hours before the test time on the day of test, and must take the advised medications prescribed.

Do not miss the diabetic medication in the morning of the test date.

Do not take insulin on the day of the test, before the test.

Please carry an old report/CD if available.

Doctor’s prescription is mandatory for this test.
