What is X - Ray Right Femur AP & LAT View?
An X-Ray Right Femur Thigh AP & LAT View is a non-invasive, painless test that uses a small amount of radiation to visualise the thigh bone (femur) and the soft tissues (skin and muscles) surrounding it. The image takes on a specially developed X-ray film. The X-ray picture is black and white. Dense features like bones appear white, while softer bodily tissues like skin and muscles appear darker. The actual radiation exposure period is often less than a second, while the entire test may take between 15-20 minutes.
This test assesses any thigh bone (femur) fractures, monitors the healing process of the broken bone, and detects any infection, deformities, osteoporosis, or abnormal growth of this bone.
