Information about Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip
Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip
Glucose oxidase converts urine Glucose to gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Subsequently, peroxidase converts hydrogen peroxide into the water and nascent oxygen. The nascent oxygen liberates iodine from potassium iodide to produce colours ranging from green to brown. The test is based on the principle of protein-error-of-indicator, At a constant pH the development of any green colour is due to the presence of protein. Colours change from yellow for negative through yellow-green and green to green-blue for Positive reactions.
Uses:
Accu-Stix is a test strip used for semi quantitative estimation of glucose and protein in urine.
