Bos Medicare surgical High-density foam with cotton stockinet provides effective immobilization, support, cushioning and comfort for the user.

Directions For Use:
- Sizing -Select the right size collar
- Placement- Flare the sides of the front panel, slide it up the chest wall and scoop it up under the chin. The sides of the front section of the collar should fit snugly over the shoulders and wrap around to the back of the neck
- Fastening- Stand straight, look forward with your chin up, and place the collar over the neck. Ensure the curved part comes below the chin. Lock the collar with the velcro to a comfortable and snug fit
- Movement- Move instead of resting or sitting too much. Focus on good posture. Avoid sitting in soft, low chairs. Avoid lifting or carrying anything heavy
- Sleeping- Always wear your collar in bed unless told otherwise by your consultant. Your bed should be firm. Sleep on your back, if this is uncomfortable sleep on your side
- Duration- A collar should not be worn for more than 10 days after a whiplash-type injury. But you may need support for a long time after surgery or traumatic injury
Safety Information:
- Keep skin clean and dry- Wearing a cervical collar can cause skin to become hot and sweaty, which can lead to skin breakdown. The collar itself also puts pressure on the skin
- Clean the collar- You can wash most soft collars in a sink with warm water and gentle soap. You can clean hard collars by replacing dirty pads and rinsing the front and back panels
- Remove the collar daily- You should remove the collar daily to clean your neck and check for skin irritation or pressure damage
- Avoid prolonged sitting- Avoid sitting for prolonged periods or sitting in soft low chairs, as this can cause your back posture to become rounded and put added pressure on your neck
- Wear a soft collar at night- Unless specifically indicated, it is advisable to wear a soft cervical collar at night to maintain stability without stiffness
