Inclusions:
- Inpatient care
- The policy covers hospital stays and associated costs upto Rs. 4 Lakhs
Daycare treatments:
- Daycare treatments mean procedures that are carried out within a few hours and don’t necessitate a hospital stay. These are covered by the policy as well upto Rs. 4 Lakhs
Pre- and post-hospitalisation costs
- These include doctor consultations, diagnostic tests, post-treatment care, and more. Pre-hospitalisation costs are covered up to 30 days before hospitalisation and post-hospitalisation costs are covered up to 60 days after hospitalisation.
Room & ICU rent
- Room and ICU charges are covered up to 1% and 2% of the sum insured, respectively, ensuring a comfortable hospital stay.
AYUSH treatments
- This policy covers AYUSH treatments, including Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy.

Claim process -
Here’s how you can raise a claim under this policy:
A. Claim intimation:
- In case of unplanned hospitalisation, inform the TPA (Third Party Administrator) or insurer within 24 hours of admission
- In case of planned hospitalisation, inform the TPA or insurer 48 hours before admission.
Submit these details:
- Your name
- Claimant’s name and customer ID
- Hospital details
- Diagnosis and treatment details
- Approximate claim amount
- Date of admission
B. Claim process initiation
Fill out the claim form (available on https://www.careinsurance.com/). Send it to the TPA/insurer along with these documents:
- Original receipts/bills
- Discharge voucher
- Original chemist bills and supporting prescriptions
- Original investigative reports and payment receipts
- Case papers
- Doctor consultation papers and bills
- Any other document as requested by the TPA/insurer.

C. Claim Processing and Reimbursement
There can be 3 outcomes:
- Approval
If your claim is approved, you will be informed about the same by the TPA/insurer - Information deficiency
In case the TPA/insurer needs more information, you’ll be notified about the same for resolution - Rejection
In case your claim is declined, you will be notified about the same along with the reasons for rejection. You can send across further documents, if any, to enhance the claim. If these are found to be acceptable, your claim may be reopened for review.
Expires on or after: July, 2025
