Safety Information:
Key Ingredients:
- Collagen type 1
Key Benefits:
- Collagen is a bio-material and its role in wound management is a well-documented subject
- Collagen encourages wound healing through the deposition and organisation of freshly formed collagen fibre and granulation tissues in the wound bed and then creating an environment very conducive to wound healing
- Useful in dealing with non-healing ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic wounds, surgical wounds, infected and non-infected wounds, minimally to heavily draining wounds, undermined wounds, tunnelled wounds and 3rd-degree burns
Directions For Use:
- Cleanse the wound bed with normal saline to the extent without causing trauma and accordingly adjust the irrigation pressure to drive out the slough and apply topical medication as necessary
- Sprinkle collofibre particles to cover the surface
- In the case of tunnelled and undermined wounds, collofibre can be made into a paste or a solution with normal saline to ensure that collofibre particles are penetrated into the wound cavities
- Cover the wound with a non-adherent dressing of choice
- The frequency of application of collofibre particles can be initially on a daily basis and subsequently increased to once in 2-3 days depending upon the condition of the wound as suggested by the treating surgeon until the wound bed is prepared for closure with graft/flap cover
Safety Information:
- Do not pack the wound tightly with collofibre particles
- Always maintain a moist wound environment
- Give enough irrigation to the wound with normal saline during dressing changes to prevent damage to the wound bed, which will cause trauma and delay the healing process
- The Product becomes unsterile if the container is damaged
- Avoid patients hypersensitive to collagen
- Collofibre particles to be stored in normal room temperature
- Read the product label carefully before use
- Keep out of reach of children
