K-Life FD 101 Heartbeat Rate Detection Monitor with In-Built Speaker Fetal Doppler White is a handheld ultrasound probe that is used to detect the fetal heartbeat for prenatal care and also to help the families which are expecting feel closer to their babies.
It uses the doppler effect to provide an audible simulation of the heartbeat by detecting changes in the movement of the foetus. This device can be used by healthcare professionals, including nurses, midwives, specialized technicians in hospitals, clinics, community, and nonprofessionals at home. Fetal Doppler detects fetal heart rate externally utilizing the principle of doppler shift of ultrasound that the frequency shift of the reflected signal is proportional to the velocity of the reflecting structure.

The ultrasound is transmitted from the probe to the patient's body that can transmit an ultrasonic signal. When this ultrasonic energy is reflected back from the tissues, the reflected ultrasound is received by the probe and is converted into electric signals. These signals are sent to the CPU for processing on the LCD display.
