Ovatel Reliable Fertility Test

Ovatel Reliable Fertility Test is a mini-microscope designed to allow a woman to see if or when she is fertile. This reusable fertility monitor and predictor uses saliva instead of urine to determine when you are close to ovulation. Simply put a saliva sample on the lens, wait for it to air dry completely, and look through the lens by holding it up to a light source. You will be able to see if you have ferning, which will continue to increase in quantity until the day of ovulation. You look through the mini scope to identify a specific crystallisation pattern in dried saliva due to hormones released before ovulation. The science behind Ovatel in a woman’s body, estrogen is transmitted to the saliva from the bloodstream and causes a reaction that makes the saliva crystallise upon drying. Estrogen is always present in the body, so small amounts of crystals will be in the saliva after it dries. As the estrogen peaks during the fertile window, you will see more and more crystals in the sample. Right before ovulation, the estrogen level is so high that the crystals will make a pattern that looks like a fern leaf. This pattern means that ovulation will occur within 24-48 hours. Your Ovatel fertility monitor allows you to see these crystals exceptionally clearly.

Directions for Use:

• Remove the cap from the mini-scope base

• Collect a small amount of fresh saliva from under your tongue with a clean finger

• Take the applicator stick and rub the saliva off of your finger

• Place the applicator stick with saliva in the centre cavity of your Ovatel lens on the base of the scope, A 1mm by 1 mm drop (actual size) is shown on the diagram) That’s all you need

• Allow the saliva to air-dry completely for 30 minutes

• Once dry, point the Ovatel scope toward a light source (window or light) and look through the lens to see the results

• Refer to the diagrams for the ferning pattern

• Place the lens up to your eye

• To see the ferning pattern better, move the Ovatel lens further away or closer to your vision as you look towards the light

• Record the results on your app or cycle diary
