Quick Tips to Manage Cavities:

• There are several ways to help prevent cavities. Prodent recommends using a fluoride toothpaste, brushing your teeth twice a day and replacing your toothbrush every 3 months. Another tip is to drink acidic drinks through a straw. This keeps the liquid at the back of your mouth and away from your teeth

• Also be careful with snacks, because a sugary or starchy snack feeds the bacteria in your mouth that then produce acids, which can have a damaging effect on tooth enamel. Instead, eat something healthy or brush your teeth after the snack (but wait at least half an hour before brushing). And finally, visit the dentist regularly

• For children aged 6 or younger, do not use more toothpaste than the size of a pea. Make sure they swallow as little toothpaste as possible. Consult a (dental) doctor if your child uses fluoride in another form. It is recommended to limit the number of eating/drinking moments to 7 per day.
