Gokshuradi guggulu is a herbal preparation used in Ayurveda for the treatment of urinary and kidney disorders. It acts as a diuretic and improves kidney functions. It is helpful in diseases like kidney stones, urinary tract infection (burning sensation in the urine), difficulty in micturition, gout (raised uric acid), and osteoarthritis. In addition to these benefits, it also acts as a joint tonic and improves joint flexibility. It helps in the formation of synovial fluids in osteoarthritis, so Ayurvedic doctors commonly use it in knee pain and backache due to osteoarthritis.

Key Benefits:

• Osteoarthritis: It is a drug of choice in Ayurveda for osteoarthritis. It improves synovial fluid formation and acts as a strengthening agent for weight-bearing joints. It acts slowly but provides stable relief from pain. It may take up to one to three months to show real improvement in pain and joint flexibility

• Gout or raised uric acid level: Gokshuradi guggulu works on kidneys and improves uric acid excretion. However, it may not have an effect on the formation of the uric acid

• Kidney stones: It has anti lithiasis property, which helps prevent the formation of kidney stones and helps break formed stones in the kidneys or urinary tract. However, it works better when a patient has symptoms like burning sensation and pain during urination

• Dysuria: It has a mild diuretic action, which helps in dysuria or painful and difficult urination

Directions For Use:

• Take 1-2 tablets 2 to 3 times a day, after meal preferably with lukewarm water

• Usually it is administered along with water decoction of musta, pashanabheda and usheera
