Product introduction

Carisoma Compound Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

Using of this medicine can cause some common side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, headache, increased heart rate, and restlessness. If any of these side effects bother you or do not go away with time, you should let your doctor know. Your doctor may help with ways to reduce or prevent these side effects.

The medicine may not be suitable for everybody. Before taking it, let your doctor know if you have any problems with your heart, kidneys, or liver. To make sure it is safe for you, let your doctor also know all the other medicines you are taking. Pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should first consult their doctors before using the medicine.

Treatment of Pain due to muscle spasm
Carisoma Compound Tablet treats pain due to muscle spasm by relaxing stiff muscles. It also reduces swelling in the muscles. Altogether, it helps in easy movement and reduces discomfort. It also reduces fever associated with muscle spasm. Carisoma Compound Tablet also does not cause much sleepiness due to the presence of Caffeine in it. Carisoma Compound Tablet works quickly, usually within a few hours and the maximum benefit can take 2 to 4 weeks or sometimes longer. Take it as prescribed. Once you see some improvement, you can start doing therapy exercises (such as walking or breathing exercises) that will help you get your strength back more quickly.

How Carisoma Compound Tablet works

Carisoma Compound Tablet is a combination of three medicines: carisoprodol, caffeine and paracetamol which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer). It blocks the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that are responsible for pain and fever. Caffeine increases the effectiveness of paracetamol.

  • You have been prescribed Carisoma Compound Tablet to get relief from pain and stiffness in the muscles.
  • You may see results within 1.5 to 2 hours after taking Carisoma Compound Tablet. Take it exactly as advised by your doctor.
  • Inform your doctor if you have a history of seizures.
  • Immediately seek medical help if you experience hallucinations, fever, sweating, shivering, fast heart rate, muscle twitching, or loss of coordination.
  • Along with taking Carisoma Compound Tablet, your doctor might advise you to undergo physiotherapy to get relief from pain.

Carisoma Compound Tablet is unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
However, the use of Carisoma Compound Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease and active liver disease.
