Product introduction

CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet is a dopamine agonist. It is used for the treatment of a high level of prolactin. It is also helpful in stopping breast milk production in cases of stillbirth, abortion, or miscarriage.

CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet should be taken with food,  but take it at the same time to get the most benefit. It should be taken as your doctor's advice. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. Your doctor will decide how much you need to improve your symptoms. Swallow the tablets whole with a drink of water. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you.

The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, headache, dizziness, and low blood pressure. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them.  To overcome dizziness, you must avoid driving or rise slowly from sitting or lying position.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had high blood pressure after birth, or had heart disease. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Your doctor may check blood pressure regularly while taking this medicine.

Prolactin is a hormone that helps in the growth and development of breasts and also causes milk secretion in females. CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet helps stop breast milk secretion in females who have had a stillbirth, miscarriage, or abortion. It acts on a chemical in the brain, dopamine, that is responsible for these high levels of prolactin and stops milk secretion.

How CB-Lin Tablet works

CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet works by decreasing the release of prolactin, a hormone that stimulates breast milk production. This stops the production of breast milk in case of stillbirth, abortion or miscarriage.

CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet is usually not used during breastfeeding because it suppresses lactation.
Driving
UNSAFE
CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
SAFE IF PRESCRIBED
CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION

What if you forget to take CB-Lin Tablet?

If you miss a dose of CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet contains Cabergoline, which belongs to a group of medicines that reduces the level of prolactin.  What are the possible side effects of using CB-Lin 0.25 Tablet?

During the first few days of treatment, this medicine may decrease your blood pressure which could make you feel dizzy. So, it is recommended that you change your position slowly when trying to sit, stand or lie down during the initial days of the treatment. Your doctor may suggest you to monitor your blood pressure regularly during these days. The other common side effects are drowsiness, nausea, headache, dizziness, vertigo, stomach pain, indigestion, fatigue, and weakness. If any of these side effects bother you, consult your doctor.
