Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet is used to treat vertigo. It is a combination medicine which acts by relaxing vascular smooth muscles of the blood vessels of the ear and improves the blood circulation. It also blocks the action of a chemical messenger that is responsible for lightheadedness in vertigo.
Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet should be taken with food to avoid stomach upset. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor and preferably at a fixed time each day. Do not skip any doses, but if you miss a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you remember. Finish the full course of treatment and never stop this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor.
Some common side effects of using this medication are dryness of mouth and stomach pain. To overcome dryness, it is advised to drink more water, always carry sugar candy or maintain oral hygiene. It can cause dizziness and sleepiness as well. So, do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Usually, it is advisable to avoid alcohol while taking the medicine.
Before taking this medicine, it is better to inform your doctor if you are suffering from peptic ulcer, asthma, or low blood pressure. How Cinmac Tablet works
Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Cinnarizine and Dimenhydrinate. Cinnarizine is a calcium channel antagonist which works by preventing constriction of the blood vessels of the inner ear. This improves the microcirculation of the ear. Dimenhydrinate is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) that is responsible for light-headedness in vertigo.

What if you forget to take Cinmac Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Yes, Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet can make you feel drowsy. Avoid driving, operating machinery, working at heights or participating in potentially dangerous activities until you know how this medicine affects you.
Can Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet cause indigestion?
Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet may cause indigestion. However, taking it with or after food can prevent indigestion. Talk to your doctor if indigestion persists.
Are there any contraindications associated with the use of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet?
Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with hypersensitivity to the active substances, diphenhydramine or other antihistamines of similar structure or to any of the excipients. Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet should be avoided in patients with glaucoma, fits, increased intracranial pressure, alcohol abuse, urinating issues, liver or kidney disease. It is also not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
What if I accidentally take too much of this medicine?
Visit the nearest emergency department if you accidentally take too much of this medicine. Symptoms of an overdose may include tiredness, pupil dilation, unable to urinate, dry mouth, flushing, fast heart rate, sweating, headache, dizziness and shakiness.
What if I miss a dose of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet, you should skip the missed dose and take the next dose at its usual time and quantity. You should not take a double dose of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet to make up for a missed dose.
Can I stop taking Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet if I feel well?
You should not stop taking Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet until your doctor asks you to. If you stop taking Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet earlier than advised, the symptoms of vertigo may reappear (dizziness and spinning).
What are the instructions for storage and disposal of Cinmac 20mg/40mg Tablet?
Keep this medicine in the container or the pack it came in, tightly closed. Store it according to the instructions mentioned on the pack or label. Dispose of the unused medicine. Make sure it is not consumed by pets, children and other people.
