Fusimed Eye Ointment is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It may cause eye irritation and burning sensation immediately following application. However, these side effects are temporary and usually subside on their own. Inform your doctor if they persist for a longer duration. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Do not wear contact lenses while using it.

- If using other eye products, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes between applications to allow proper absorption of each medication.
- After applying, keep your eye closed gently for a minute to help the medicine stay in place.
- Store the medicine tightly closed and avoid using it beyond the recommended duration after opening, usually 28 days or as per the label.

It is also used to treat bacterial infections of eyes, including conjunctivitis (red itchy eyes).
Use the Fusimed Eye Ointment for the time advised by your doctor. Fusimed Eye Ointment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the eye returns to normal.
No, you should remove the contact lenses before using Fusimed Eye Ointment. You can use your glasses instead. The microcrystalline fusidic acid may cause scratches in the contact lens or cornea. Do not use contact lenses until all symptoms of the infection have gone.
If you develop a severe allergic reaction after using Fusimed Eye Ointment, wash the area thoroughly and do not use the medicine again. Therefore, to prevent drug resistance, you should use Fusimed Eye Ointment in the right amount and for the duration recommended by the doctor.
Do not worry if you put more than the recommended number of drops or if you accidentally swallow some drops. It will not harm you. But if a larger quantity gets swallowed or spilled in your eyes and you are worried, contact your doctor for advice.
No, you need not worry. Some people may see a white powder around the eye after using Fusimed Eye Ointment. It occurs when the drops dry out. It is very normal and you can wipe off the powder with a cotton swab.
