Ginette 35 Tablet is a combination of two hormonal medicines used to treat symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) such as excessive hair growth (hirsutism), acne, and irregular periods. It also works as a contraceptive, hence avoid using any other contraceptive pill.
Ginette 35 Tablet can be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time every day as it will help you remember to take it. The dose and duration will depend on what you are being treated for, but you should always complete a full course of this medicine as prescribed by your doctor.
The most common side effects of this medicine include nausea, stomach pain, headache, weight gain, and breast pain. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. What if I miss a dose of Ginette 35 Tablet?
If you miss a dose, you should take it as soon as possible. If the dose was missed by more than 12 hours, you should not take the missed dose and simply continue the usual dosing schedule. However, to prevent pregnancy another non-hormonal birth control (like condoms) method should be used during this cycle. Frequent missing of doses, may also cause unexpected vaginal bleeding or spotting (blood stain). If it lasts long, consult your doctor.
What if I vomit after few hours of taking Ginette 35 Tablet?
If vomiting occurs within 3-4 hours of taking the tablet, you must repeat the dose.
Does Ginette 35 Tablet also work as a contraceptive?
Yes, if taken as advised, Ginette 35 Tablet also acts as a contraceptive. Discontinue using any other birth control pill while taking Ginette 35 Tablet.
What are the common side effects of taking Ginette 35 Tablet?
