Kuvadex 20mg Tablet is taken after meals in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. Taking with food helps to increase the absorption of the medication as well as decrease nausea. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects of Kuvadex 20mg Tablet are nausea, itching, and redness of the skin. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. It may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.

Taking this medicine makes the skin more sensitive to the sun. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Try to avoid exposure of your skin and lips to sunlight for eight hours after treatment.

Kuvadex 20mg Tablet reduces the scaly, itchy patches along with other symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, or irritation which may develop on the different parts of the body. Use it for as long as it is prescribed to get the most benefit. It may take several months to become fully effective. You should avoid drinking alcohol while having this treatment and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Vitiligo
Vitiligo is a condition in which the skin loses its natural color in patches. Kuvadex 20mg Tablet effectively blocks that process in the skin that leads to discoloration. It also reduces any redness, rash, pain, or itchiness that may be caused by this condition. This improves your self-esteem and confidence as your appearance changes. You should always take it as prescribed to get the full benefits.

How Kuvadex Tablet works

Kuvadex 20mg Tablet is an organic compound. It is used along with ultraviolet-A irradiation. It works by decreasing the number of cells the skin makes.

Quick tips

Kuvadex 20mg Tablet is prescribed along with UV-A rays for the treatment of vitiligo and psoriasis.
Take this treatment (methoxsalen and UVA) two or three times a week, with the treatment spaced at least forty-eight hours apart.
Always take Kuvadex 20mg Tablet 2 hours before UV radiation exposure, along with food or milk.
Take a plain shower before your treatment to keep your skin clean, and pat dry.
Do not use perfumes, aftershave, deodorants, or other cosmetics or toiletries while using Kuvadex 20mg Tablet, as they can make your skin even more sensitive, leading to blistering.
Use extra caution for at least 48 hours following each treatment. After each treatment, cover your skin for at least 8 hours by wearing protective clothing.
Never take Kuvadex 20mg Tablet in a dose higher than the prescribed dose, as it may cause burning or blistering of your skin after exposure to UV light.

Taking Kuvadex with any of the following medicines can modify the effect of either of them and cause some undesirable side effects

Moderate

Aminophylline (Oral Route)

Watch out for symptoms such as headache, nausea or tremor and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Aminophylline accordingly. Methoxsalen may raise blood levels of Aminophylline.

Moderate

Olanzapine (Oral Route)

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Olanzapine side effects such as blurred vision, sleepiness, headache, constipation, nausea, dizziness, faintness or fatigue and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Olanzapine accordingly. Methoxsalen may raise blood levels of Olanzapine.

If concurrent use is essential, watch out for symptoms of Loxapine side effects such as blurred vision, sleepiness, headache, constipation, nausea, dizziness, faintness or fatigue and consult your doctor if you experience them. They may adjust the dose of Loxapine accordingly. Methoxsalen may raise blood levels of Loxapine.
