Levosal Syrup is used to relieve symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as coughing, wheezing and breathlessness. It helps in relaxing the muscles of the air passages, thus widening it and making it easier to breathe.
You can take Levosal Syrup with or without food. The dose will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. Try to take it at the same time each day. It is important to keep taking this medicine until your doctor tells you not to. Use this medicine regularly to get the most benefit from it even if you feel well.
Levosal Syrup is generally safe and effective but some common side effects include tremor, headache, palpitation, increased heart rate, and muscle cramps. Concurrent use may cause difficulty in breathing. Timolol may reduce efficacy of Levosalbutamol.
Do not use Timolol with Levosalbutamol if you have asthma or COPD.
Concurrent use may disturb the heart rhythm.

Both Levosal Syrup and Albuterol belong to the same class of medicines. and are used for quick relief in symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as wheezing, shortness of breath and coughing. Levosal Syrup contains the active form of Albuterol known as R-albuterol. On the other hand, Albuterol contains a mixture of equal amounts of R-albuterol (active form) and S-albuterol (inactive form of Albuterol). Levosal Syrup, being the active form may have lesser side effects when compared to the inactive form.
Is it safe to take Levosal Syrup if I have heart disease?
