Mengy Injection is a combination of two medicines. It is used in the treatment of cerebral edema. It works by drawing water out of the tissues in the brain and decreases swelling around the brain.
Mengy Injection is given as an injection under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Do not try to self administer the injection until you know how to inject it. Your doctor will decide the exact amount of dose, hence follow your doctor advice while taking the medicine.

Symptoms of brain swelling (cerebral edema) include headache, dizziness, nausea, numbness or weakness, loss of coordination or balance, loss of the ability to see or speak, seizures (fits), memory loss, incontinence, or altered level of consciousness. Mengy Injection decreases brain volume by decreasing overall water content in the brain. This helps to reduce the accumulation of excessive fluid in the brain. It helps to relieve these symptoms effectively within a short duration of time and prevents further complications.

How Mengy Injection works
Mengy Injection is a combination of two medicines: Glycerin and Mannitol which treat increased pressure in the skull/brain. Mannitol is an osmotic diuretic which draws water out of tissues in the brain and decreases swelling around the brain. Addition of Glycerin prevents the swelling from coming back which may possibly occur with plain Mannitol.
