What if you forget to take Notisym LB Tablet?

Notisym LB Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Tinidazole, Norfloxacin and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Yes, the use of Notisym LB Tablet can cause a temporary metallic taste. This metallic taste can be reduced by chewing sugar-free gum or mints or by brushing teeth after the meals.

Can I take a higher dose of this medicine than recommended?

No, taking a higher than the recommended dose of Notisym LB Tablet can increase the risks of side effects. If you are experiencing increased severity of your symptoms which are not relieved by the recommended doses, please consult your doctor for re-evaluation.

Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Notisym LB Tablet?

The use of Notisym LB Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to norfloxacin, tinidazole or any other excipient. It should also be preferably avoided in patients with history of any inflammation of the tendons (tendinitis) or tendon rupture seen with the use of norfloxacin or any other medicine which belongs to the same group (quinolone group) of antimicrobial agents and in patients with some neurological disorders.

Can Notisym LB Tablet increase the risk of tendon rupture?

Yes, Notisym LB Tablet contains Norfloxacin, which is known to increase the risk of tendon rupture, commonly in the achilles tendon. Tendon problems can happen in people of all ages who take Notisym LB Tablet. Inform your health care provider if you hear or feel a snap or pop, have severe pain, rapid or immediate bruising after an accident, and are unable to use the affected arm or leg, you may have a tendon rupture.

What if I don't get better after using Notisym LB Tablet?

Inform your doctor if you don't feel better after finishing the full course of treatment. Also, inform him if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine.

Can I stop taking Notisym LB Tablet when I feel better?

No, do not stop taking Notisym LB Tablet and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured.

What if I miss my dose?

Take Notisym LB Tablet as soon as you remember it. However, do not take it if it's almost time for your next dose. Also, do not take an extra dose to make up for your missed dose.
