Product introduction
Ozurdex Injection is an implant containing steroid. It is injected into the eye to treat vision loss due to swelling of the macula (the light-sensitive layer of the eye). It works by blocking the release of substances that triggers inflammation, thereby improving the vision.
Ozurdex Injection is generally given to patients who do not respond to any other therapy. It is administered by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. It should not be self-administered at home.
Use of Ozurdex Injection may cause increased intraocular pressure, cataract, and conjunctival hemorrhage. It may also cause an eye infection, swelling, and blurred vision in some people. You will need to be monitored on a regular basis after the implant. If your eye becomes red, sensitive to light, painful, or develops a change in vision, you should seek immediate help from your doctor.
