Rylocuf-D Syrup is used to treat cough. It thins the mucus in the windpipe, making it easier to cough out. This medicine narrows the blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion or stuffiness. It also relieves allergy symptoms like watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, and throat irritation.
Rylocuf-D Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.
The most common side effects are nausea, stomach pain, diarrhea, upset stomach, vomiting, headache, insomnia, and rash. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make sleepiness worse.

How Rylocuf-D Syrup works
Rylocuf-D Syrup is a combination of six medicines:Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Guaifenesin, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Menthol. Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing. Guaifenesin, Ammonium Chloride and Sodium Citrate help in the removal of mucus (phlegm) from the airways. Menthol produces a sensation of coolness and relieves minor throat irritation.

What if you forget to take Rylocuf-D Syrup?
