Thonip-ET Tablet may be taken with or without food. Take it in the dose and duration as precribed by the doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.

How Thonip-ET Tablet works
Thonip-ET Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside, which relieves pain and relaxes the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

What if you forget to take Thonip-ET Tablet?
If you miss a dose of Thonip-ET Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Thonip-ET Tablet, when used for long-term pain relief, should be continued for as long as advised by your physician. It can be discontinued if you are using it for short-term pain relief.
Can the use of Thonip-ET Tablet cause dizziness?
Yes, the use of Thonip-ET Tablet can cause dizziness (feeling faint, weak, unsteady or lightheaded) in some patients. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded it is better to rest for some time and resume once you feel better.
Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Thonip-ET Tablet?
The use of Thonip-ET Tablet is considered to be harmful for patients with known allergy to painkillers (NSAIDS) or any of the components or excipients of this medicine. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of stomach ulcers or in patients with active, recurrent stomach ulcer / bleeding It should also be avoided in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Thonip-ET Tablet can be taken with Vitamin B-complex preparations. While Thonip-ET Tablet helps to relieve pain, Vitamin B-complex can help to correct the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.
Can the use of Thonip-ET Tablet cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long-term use of Thonip-ET Tablet can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects them from damage. Use of painkillers lowers the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long-term use. Use of painkillers is not recommended to patients with underlying kidney disease.
