How Ornidazole + Chlorhexidine Gluconate works

Ornidazole + Chlorhexidine Gluconate is a combination of two medicines: Ornidazole and Chlorhexidine Gluconate which treat mouth infections. Ornidazole is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging the DNA. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic which binds to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, tartar and other mouth infections.

Expert advice for Ornidazole + Chlorhexidine Gluconate

  • Apply it over the affected area with a clean fingertip, three to four times a day or as directed by your doctor.
  • Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
