3D-CT Scan face
Understanding 3D-CT Scan face
What is 3D-CT Scan face?
3D Computed Tomography (CT) scan face is a radiological test to get clear images of the insides of your face. A CT scan is an imaging technique that combines rotating beams of X-rays and computers to create cross-sectional images of your body. Unlike traditional X-rays, CT scans provide information about organs, tissues, and blood vessels in addition to bones. The doctor may recommend this test to check any abnormalities like inflammation, muscle damage, infection, and tumors in the eyes, facial bones, and sinuses. Sometimes, a contrast material may be administered for easier identification of body structures.
Generally, CT scans are avoided for pregnant women. In some individuals, an allergic reaction to the contrast material may be observed. Claustrophobic people should speak with their doctor before a CT scan.
