Diabetogen

Diabetogen test is a screening test based on the genetic makeup of an individual that helps predict the genetic risk of developing type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). It's a polygenic risk score (PRS) screening. You can take this test if you are above 18 years of age or above 35 years with underlying diseases such as high blood pressure or cholesterol levels and are overweight; if you have a family history of diabetes or conditions like high blood pressure or cholesterol levels and habits like smoking, excessive alcohol intake or have a lack of physical activity and have stress. This test helps in the early detection of T2DM  which helps prevent its potential complications. Knowing the genetic risk of a disease can help in timely lifestyle changes, health monitoring, and disease management.
