Understanding MRI Screening Cervical Spine
What is MRI Screening Cervical Spine?
Cervical spine is screened using MRI i.e Magnetic Reasonance Imaging which is a safe and painless test that uses a magnetic field and radiowaves. This test helps in the visualization of cervical spine which is the portion of the spine that runs through the neck and soft tissues of the neck. The test helps in the diagnosis of spinal birth defects, an infection near or in the spine, injury of the spine, abnormal curvature or tumor of the spine. You may need this test if you have a severe neck pain, numbness, tingling or weakness in the arms, shoulder or neck area that has not improved with basic treatment. The person can need a kidney function test before the test.
