How Citrikof Products work
Ambroxol + Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide + Cetirizine is a combination of three medicines: Ambroxol, dextromethorphan and cetirizine which relieve dry cough. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant that relieves cough by reducing the activity of cough centre in the brain. Cetirizine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.

Q. My child is 5 months old and has a dry cough. Can I give him Citrikof Syrup?
No. Citrikof Syrup should not be given to children who are less than 2 years of age because it contains an ingredient, dextromethorphan, which can interfere with the functioning of your child's brain Hence, give Citrikof Syrup to your child only after speaking to your child’s doctor.
