Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution is a naturally occurring substance in the body and is also present in the eye. Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution works as artificial tears that are required when hyaluronic acid is deficient in the eyes.

Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution is used for the treatment of dry eye syndrome (keratoconjunctivitis sicca). In addition to treating dryness, it is also helpful in protecting the eyes. It is also used to treat dryness of the cornea caused by trauma or when the eyes cannot be closed due to nerve paralysis.

You should use the Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not touch the tip of the container, and avoid it coming in contact with the eye or eyelid. After opening the eyelid, instill 1-2 drops in the eye with someone’s help. To prevent washout, try to avoid using any other eye medications for at least 15 minutes.

Yes, some patients may experience blurring of vision, but it is temporary and passes quickly. It is recommended that after instilling the Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution, you blink your eyes several times to spread it over the eye surface.

Continue using Ecotears HA Ophthalmic Solution as long as your doctor has recommended. The time duration will depend on your eye condition. It can be used for an extended period if required.
