Q. What is Elina Tablet MR used for?

Elina Tablet MR is used to treat symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and other allergic reactions, causing irritation of the eyes and nose. It is also used to treat allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, urticaria or hives (pale red, raised and itchy skin rashes).

Q. How should I take Elina Tablet MR?

Elina Tablet MR should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water; do not chew or crush it. Elina Tablet MR may be taken with or without food, but it is advised to take it at a fixed time to avoid skipping a dose.

Q. How to cope with dizziness caused by Elina Tablet MR?

If you feel dizzy while taking Elina Tablet MR, lie down for some time and then get up slowly. Move slowly and cautiously while walking or doing activities. Avoid coffee, cigarettes, alcohol and recreational medicines. If dizziness persists or worsens, consult your doctor.

Q. Can I take antacids while taking Elina Tablet MR?

Some antacids contain aluminum and magnesium. Such antacids may decrease the absorption of Elina Tablet MR and lower its levels, thereby interfering with the working of this medicine. It is recommended that you keep a gap of 2 hours between the two medicines.

Q. Is there any food or drink that I need to avoid while taking Elina Tablet MR?

Yes, you should avoid drinking grape juice, orange juice and apple juice while taking Elina Tablet MR. These might make you more likely to have side effects. However, if not sure, consult your doctor.
