Fluticasone Propionate effectively reduces symptoms associated with such conditions such as swelling, itching and redness.

Fluticasone Propionate works by decreasing the inflammation caused by allergies. It reduces inflammation by blocking the release of certain natural substances that cause allergic symptoms such as swelling, redness and pain.

The time Fluticasone Propionate requires to start working differs from person to person. However, you may get relief within 8 hours of starting Fluticasone Propionate. It may even take several days before you see maximum benefits. In order to improve your symptoms faster, it is important to take the medicine regularly as it increases the efficiency.

Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines regularly to prevent any allergic reaction with other medicines. Do not cover the area being treated with Fluticasone Propionate with a bandage, as this may increase absorption of this medicine and increase the side effects. Inform your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse while using this medicine. If you do not feel better after finishing the full course of treatment, consult your doctor.
Q. After I applied Mupirocin, I felt burning and stinging sensations. Should I stop using it?
Burning sensation is a common side effect of applying Mupirocin. However, stinging is uncommon. These side effects do not last long and will disappear after sometime. Do not stop using Mupirocin because of these mild side effects. If you have any concerns consult your doctor.
Q. In which areas of the skin should I avoid using Mupirocin?
Mupirocin should not be used to treat infections in or near the eyes, nostrils or mouth. If this medicine accidentally enters your eyes, wash the eyes thoroughly with water. In case you have tubes inserted in your body for the administration or removal of fluid (cannula), do not use this medicine to treat the skin near that area. Additionally, do not use it in combination with a cannula.
Q. What should prompt me to stop using Mupirocin?
Wash off the ointment immediately if you faint, get a raised and itchy rash, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, difficulty breathing and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, throat or other parts of the body. These may be signs of a severe allergic reaction. You should immediately stop using Mupirocin and consult your doctor. Though unlikely, but if you get abdominal cramps and diarrhea, you should stop using Mupirocin immediately and consult your doctor.
